Manifreshto, Soi 3, Nimmanahaeminda, Chiangmai

Our story.
The Bakery
It started at the end of 2013 with a love of baking. We opened a small bakery in a 25 square meter space in Nimman, Chiang Mai. The space doubled as a baking area and a small shop for our family's farm products. A chalkboard out front let people know when the fresh bread was ready. Three tables, fresh fruit smoothies, and warm pastries. That was Manifreshto.

The breakfast spot
In 2018, our father grew tired of retirement and decided to raise hens. Two hundred of them. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but 200 hens produce far more eggs than a small bakery can use. So we started serving breakfast. Our 25 square meter space became a kitchen, a dining room, and a bakery all at once. Customers loved it, and the eggs, fresh, free-range, and from our own family farm, became the heart of what we do.
The first extension
By 2019, we had outgrown our little space. We expanded into the unit next door, added more tables, a proper kitchen, and indoor air conditioning, a welcome escape from Chiang Mai's heat. With more room to cook, we introduced our Low and Slow Smoked BBQ, slow-cooked meats that quickly became a favourite alongside our breakfast menu.

Then the pandemic hit
Then the pandemic hit. Like every restaurant in Chiang Mai, we faced a difficult time. But our customers kept showing up, and that kept us going. When supply chains made it hard to bring eggs from our family farm in Nan province, we found a new source closer to home, organic, free-range eggs from farmers in the Mae Tha area of Chiang Mai. A small change that led us to build new relationships with local farmers we still work with today.
Today
Today, Manifreshto is still a family restaurant in Nimman, Chiang Mai, still cooking with the same care as when we had three tables and a chalkboard. We grow some of our own vegetables using hydroponic farming, serve organic free-range eggs, and use only real ingredients in everything we make. More than ten years in, we are still your neighbourhood breakfast spot. We hope to see you soon.
